Nenagh Library in North Tipperary was a hive of Halloween excitement on Tuesday evening, October 28, as families gathered for the library’s Spooktacular Halloween Night, organised by Tipperary County Council Library Services. The event began at 6:00 pm and drew an enthusiastic crowd of children and parents eager to celebrate the season together.

“The library was full of little monsters, witches, superheroes, and more – the costumes were amazing!” said organisers. “We had so much fun!”

The evening opened with a Spooktacular Story Time that kept young listeners captivated, followed by a lively Dress-Up Zumba session led by Christine, which saw children and adults dancing in their Halloween costumes.

“It was a brilliant evening, and we loved celebrating with all of you,” organisers added. “We hope you had as much fun as we did.”

The celebrations also marked the return of Nenagh Library’s popular Halloween Quiz, which ran over four days starting on October 28th. Each day featured a new quiz on scary books, with winners entered into a daily prize draw. Library visitors could find helpful hints on posters displayed throughout the building.

Events on the opening night included Spooktacular Storytime at 6:00 pm, followed by Adult and Child Dress-Up Zumba from 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm. Those without costumes were able to pick from the Great Halloween Costume Swap, which offered a selection of outfits for all ages.

The week’s activities proved a success, combining creativity, community spirit and plenty of Halloween fun. Organisers thanked everyone who took part, saying, “Come along, get involved, and let’s make this Halloween one to remember.”
