Damer House, originally built in 1728 within the grounds of Roscrea Castle, is one of the town’s most notable historic properties. The building, a protected structure, is currently used as a visitor centre and museum and forms part of the wider heritage complex at the castle site.
The application outlines a proposed change of use that would see the building operate as a café. The shift would represent a new chapter for the structure while maintaining its public function within the heritage setting.
Tipperary County Council has indicated that a decision on the application is expected by January 17th next year.
