Completed late last year by Tipperary Cultural Films, the documentary premiered at the Aherlow House Hotel on October 26. Combining drone footage, historical photographs, archival material, and contemporary scenes of the valley, the film is narrated by local historian Dr Des Marnane.
Nestled between the Galtee Mountains to the south and the wooded ridge of Slievenamuck to the north, the Glen of Aherlow is traversed by the River Aherlow near Clonbeg Church.
The documentary, titled Between Mountain and Hill: A Portrait of Aherlow, captures the natural beauty and heritage of the area.
The screening will take place at 1.30pm in the Excel Centre Cinema and is open to all.
Production of the film was supported by funding from Creative Ireland and forms part of a series of documentaries on Tipperary produced by the group.
Running 75 minutes, the film is also available to watch on the Tipperary Cultural Films YouTube channel.
