The news was shared yesterday on Blackmore’s Instagram story, where she posted a playful snapshot of a baby pram taking up the boot of her car.
Alongside the image, she wrote: “Boot contents looking a little different now…” — a lighthearted and personal way of letting followers in on the exciting news.

Fans quickly took to social media to congratulate the couple, celebrating what is set to be one of the most memorable milestones in the life of the celebrated jockey.
The 36-year-old Blackmore is no stranger to history-making moments. She became the first female jockey to win the Grand National, earning national and international acclaim for her trailblazing achievements on the track.
Known for her determination, skill, and composure in high-pressure races, she has inspired countless aspiring athletes, especially women, in a traditionally male-dominated sport.
With this new chapter, Blackmore is poised to embrace another significant role: motherhood.
While fans are familiar with her record-breaking performances and remarkable career achievements, this announcement gives a glimpse into a more personal and joyful side of the racing icon’s life.
Blackmore’s husband, Brian Hayes, is also a jockey, and life for the couple continues to balance the excitement of the racetrack with their growing family.
Hayes recently returned to racing following their wedding, riding multiple winners at a Navan meet, demonstrating that the couple’s professional and personal lives are moving in tandem even during such a busy time.
Adding another layer to this joyous period, Blackmore and Hayes recently celebrated their wedding in Rosscarbery, Cork. The ceremony was a small, intimate affair, attended by close family and friends.
While the couple kept the details private at the time, they have since shared a few glimpses of the day, with photos capturing the couple smiling and enjoying their special moment together.
The wedding marked the start of their life as a married couple, and now the anticipation of their first child adds yet another chapter to this exciting period in their lives.
