“Exciting Morning in Cashel, with Summer Festival hopefully on the way,” Mr Browne wrote, noting the strong turnout at a meeting hosted by Cashel Chamber of Commerce.

The gathering brought together representatives from a wide array of local organisations including Cashel Arts Festival, Le Chéile Cashel, Cashel Choral & Dramatic Society, Cashel Tidy Towns, and the St Patrick’s Day Parade Committee, alongside numerous clubs and volunteers keen to see the town buzzing this summer.

Mr Browne emphasised the potential for collaboration between the groups and the positive energy evident in the room.

Among the highlights was the contribution of young musician Callum Laverty, of the band Ferns, who pointed out that many young artists are eager for opportunities to showcase their talent and would welcome a festival that benefits the wider community.

The groups are scheduled to meet again in two weeks, at which point a smaller organising committee will be formed to consolidate ideas and begin shaping the festival’s return.

“A big thank you to everyone who attended, today felt like the beginning of something special for the town,” Mr Browne added.
