Deputy Jackie Cahill
Good news for Thurles today with the announcement of planning permission being granted for the long awaited Primary Care Centre for Mitchel Street in the Town.
"I am delighted with this great news as I have been lobbying the Minister since I was elected in 2016 for progress on this project. Last month I had a Dail Question down where I asked for a timeline for completion of the facility" said Cahill.
Access to efficient and comprehensive primary care is the future for our Health Service as it will have the effect of keeping patients away from A&E when they can be cared for locally according to the Thurles TD.
It's important now that we see the greatest range of facilities possible centred on the site, this to include GPs, Nurses, Pharmacy, Dental Care, Counselling and any other service that will have the most positive impact possible for they people of Thurles and surrounding areas, concluded Cahill
