Senator Garrett Ahearn supported the peat harvesting protest outside Leinster House earlier this week.
"The ban on peat harvesting is unfeasible. It is not an acceptable situation where we import peat for our horticultural industry. We need to find a solution immediately.
We will continue to work to get this ban reversed for the industry," said Senator Ahearn
