Tipperary were dealt a huge blow with the news

Tipperary’s senior camogie team has been hit with a significant setback just days before the start of the All-Ireland championship.

Veteran defender Clodagh Quirke will miss the rest of the season after sustaining a serious knee injury.

The Clonoulty Rossmore player suffered an ACL tear during Tipperary’s Munster semi-final loss to Waterford and is now set to undergo surgery, which will sideline her for an extended period.

Denis Kelly’s team are set to open their All-Ireland campaign on Saturday, May 31st, with a home fixture against defending champions Cork.
