Tipperary GAA Club celebrates successful year at juvenile level with awards night

The awards night for the U17B South Football Champions took place last Saturday February 18 in Cahir House.  The twenty four players on the panel were presented with their medals by Jake Kiely. 

The coaches, Joe Cleary, Charlotte Kirwan and Larry Molan, along with the five county players from 2022, Tom Delaney, Patrick McDonagh, David Halpin, Euan Magee and Liam Kelly were presented with a commemorative plaque to mark their achievements.  Congratulations to all.   


Tom Mansfield, coach to the senior players, gave a football demonstration coaching session to juvenile coaches on Thursday February 16.  The U13 group was used for the demonstration and provided loads of ideas for our coaches for the year ahead. A hurling session will be given by Tom after the football championship.


The U13 Football Championship starts on Sunday February 26.  Round 1 sees the second team at home to Ballylooby/Castlegrace.  The first team has a bye in Round 1. 


The South U14 Footballers won the Development Interdivisional Competition on Saturday February 18 in Dr. Morris Park.  They beat West Tipp in the semi-final and North Tipp in the Final. Well done to Cahir players Cian Boles, Tiernan Power and Gearoid O’Connor.

The U14 Dom Browne Interdivisional competition starts next Saturday.  We wish the best of luck to Travis McLoughlin, Cian Boles, Tiernan Power and Gearoid O’Connor.


The South U15 Footballers played Clonmel Commercials on Sunday February 19 in the Sportsfield. 
Well done to Cahir player Thomas O’Donovan.

The U15 Interdivisional Competition will take place next Saturday.  We wish the best of luck to Thomas.
