Dublin 1-6

Tipperary made it two wins from two in the Division 1A league with a 10 point victory over Dublin in Parnell Park on Saturday.
Dublin were much improved from their opening round away to Cork and Grace O’Shea and Aisling Maher pointed to give them an early lead.

It was the 9th minute before Tipperary got off the mark a point from Roisin Howard who finished with an impressive three points from play.

Caoimhe Maher, Cait Devane, Casey Hennessy, and Grace O’Brien all got on the scoreboard before Dublin who were guilty of some poor shooting scored again in the 27th minute.

Tipperary moved four points clear but a Muireann Kelleher goal left it delicately poised at the break, 0-7 to 1-3. It could have been different heading in at the break if a 28th minute penalty after Aisling Maher was pulled down hadn’t been struck wide.

Tipperary made 4 changes at half time with Karin Blair, Eimear Loughman, Niamh Treacy and Teresa Ryan entering the fray. A goal from Caoimhe Maher nine minutes after the restart put five between the sides and sprung the premier into life.

Cait Devane quickly added a point and Tipp pushed on through the excellent Casey Hennessy in midfield and subs Teresa Ryan and Courtney Ryan.

In the 55th minute Casey Hennessy put the seal on the win with a goal after a clever pass from Courtney Ryan. Next up for Tipp is a mouth-watering clash against Cork this Saturday in the County Camogie Grounds.
