Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams got their Maria Marron Palmers Hill Stud West Junior a Football championship up and running with a comfortable victory over a disappointing Emly side at Pairc Ciocaim, Dundrum, on Friday evening last.
Played in ideal conditions, on a good surface, Kickhams took control from the off and led by 0.5 to 0.1 after twelve minutes, with Elliot Thompson in fine form.
The second quarter saw Emly getting back in the game, but goals from Joe O’Dwyer and Ben Loughman just before the break, gave Kickhams an interval lead of 2.7 to 0.4.
Kickhams were in total control for the second half and eventually ran out easy winners on the score 2.14 to 0.5.
