Liam Cahill names Tipperary team for preliminary quarter-final bout against Offaly

Craig Morgan returns to the Tipperary fold having been named at corner back.

The Tipperary team to face Offaly in the All Ireland hurling preliminary quarter-final this Saturday afternoon in Tullamore has been named, and there is a total of three changes to the starting line up.

There is welcomed returns to action for Jason Forde and Jake Morris who return after short spells on the sideline, but the surprise and welcomed inclusion of Craig Morgan at corner back will raise the most eyebrows.

Morgan hasn't seen competitive action of any kind after suffering a cruciate injury playing for Kilruane MacDonaghs against Nenagh Éire Óg in last years club championship, and while he had been touted to make a return to action, few would have seen him getting the nod in this game.

Patrick Maher and Cathal Barrett don't feature in the matchday panel for Saturday, with Gearoid O'Connor has shaken off the ankle injury he suffered against Waterford in time to make the bench for the game.

There is also a welcomed return to the panel for Niall O'Meara who is now fully fit having been sidelined with injury for the past few months. See full panel below.
