Cathal Bourke presenting Drom & Inch captain Aoife McGrath with the Bernie O'Dowd Perpetual Cup
A mouthwatering draw for the 2023 Tipperary senior camogie championships took place pitting reigning champions Drom-Inch, in Group 1 alongside previous kingpins Burgess-Duharra.
Also in the group are north sides Nenagh Éire Óg and Silvermines as well as Thurles Sarsfields who will look to Tipperary star player Karen Kennedy for inspiration.
It is hard believe the reigning county and Munster club champions are chasing a fifth title in a row but such is their dominance with Maureen Ryan and Aoife McGrath playing key roles in defence as well as Mary Bourke pulling the strings in mid field for The Ragg based team.
It is sure to be a keenly contested group with all to play for right up until the last game.
Group 2 contains last year's county finalists Clonoulty Rossmore who will be favourites to top the group. They will look to Cait Devane, Clodagh Quirke and Courtney Ryan to play key leadership roles in their assault on the title.
Newcomers Borrisoleigh are also in the mix this year and will bring the momentum that a side on the up always has. The will be eager to prove their worth at this level and will be dangerous opponents for their experienced rivals.
Also there are a trio of western sides that all all making steady progress year on year - Cashel King Cormacs, Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams and Éire Óg Annacarty. Overall group 2 looks to be a keenly contested group with all sides strong in certain aspects.
The championship is set to get underway on August the 20th. Fixture times will be available closer to the start date.
