A commanding and dominating Moycarkey Borris performance saw them claim the Templemore Jewellers Mid U13 Group 2 Trophy in a sun-soaked Templetuohy.
Played in near-perfect conditions Moycarkey Borris were first on the score sheet with a Jack Butler 65. Drom Inch got their shooting underway with Cathal Lillis pointing a near in free. Moycarkey Borris settled into the game well and found themselves scoring the next four points unanswered the pick a long range point from man of the match Adam Rice. Drom Inch pulled one back with a Hugh Shanahan score.
Sean Sheehan capitalised on a short puck out for his first of the day. Rice picked up the game's first goal from a 21m free one which he had won himself. Lillis again kept Drom in the contest with another placed ball. Rice again pointed from distance before he picked up his second goal of the game. Picking the ball up on the 45m he made his way towards goal and netted for his side.
Drom & Inch though did not stop and the score of the half came from Hugh Shanahan, pointing from over 45m out. 2-7 to 0-4 at the half time whistle.
Both teams emerged into the summer sun for the second half with the leaders scoring the opening two points of the half courtesy of Rice and Sheehan. Shanahan got one from play for Drom before Rice completed his hat trick with a bullet to the net. Drom responded well to the goal with Lillis again pointing from a free.
Moycarkey really took a foothold in the 9th minute and scored the next four points before Rice again got his fourth green flag of the Final. Drom though can be proud of how they finished out the game and scored 1-2 unanswered in the last eight minutes. Tadhg Fitzpatrick and captain Shane Gleeson pointed with Cathal Lillis scoring their only goal from a penalty in the final moments of the game.
Man of the Match Adam Rice was outstanding throughout and picked up the award from Mid Board secretary Michelle McKelvey.
