Ben Healy is making waves in Scottish rugby

Tipperary interest is high in the Scotland game in France this weekend as Ben Healy has been named to start for Gregor Townsend’s side who play Romania on Saturday evening.

The Rugby World Cup is hotting up as knockout time approaches for many of the teams and this must win game is a huge opportunity for the Ben Healy who grew up outside Nenagh.

The Kilruane native lines out at 10 for Scotland in what will be his first appearance at the Rugby World Cup as he did not feature in Scotland’s opening games against Tonga and South Africa.

The former Munster outhalf has impressed in recent months and now the possibility looms that the Tipperary native could line out for Scotland against Ireland in the final Pool B game on Saturday October 7th.

The former Ireland Under-20 outhalf made his Scotland debut during the summer when he was named at number 10 for the Scots World Cup warm-up game against Italy.

The Edinburgh number 10 made the switch earlier this year as he qualified for Scotland through his mother.

The game against Romania takes place at 8pm on Saturday evening in Lille.
