PREVIEW: Drom & Inch Junior Bs one game away from All-Ireland glory

Junior B Hurling Series - All-Ireland Hurling Final

Drom & Inch vs Monaleen in Killeedy GAA, Raheenagh, Saturday, March 2nd @ 1 pm

Drom & Inch are on the cusp of achieving a unique double for the club with their Junior B hurlers one game away from becoming All-Ireland champions.

The Tipperary and Munster champions will once again make the journey to Killeedy GAA Grounds in Raheenagh to renew their rivalry with Limerick's Monaleen who will be keen to avenge their shock Munster Final loss to the Drom & Inch men a few weeks ago.

On that occasion, Monaleen led the game almost from pillar to post and despite taking a seven-point lead into injury time, Paul Kennedy left the Limerick club distraught by the final whistle with his three-minute hat-trick stealing victory from the jaws of defeat and it makes this rematch all the more enthralling this coming Saturday.

What has been an incredible journey for this panel of players has given some great days for the mid Tipperary club in recent months, and they will hope that they have some graft left in the tank coming into this game, and they will have been helped in that regard by their semi-final win over Birr in which they won with a bit to spare and used a lot of their panel to get over the line.

They had control of that game from the off and it was a good game to bring the players back down to earth after that incredible finish in the Munster Final.

Monaleen for their part, will surely be sore after that late, late loss and they looked like a team on a mission in their semi-final where they edged past Leinster champions Ballinasloe in what was a fiercely fought contest and they will be chomping at the bit to get another craic at the Tipperary champions.

Drom will again be looking towards Paul Kennedy to lead the line and continue his fantastic form while the likes of Kevin and Michéal Butler, Jack Johnson, Diarmuid Brennan and Enda Walsh will all need to play their part with the latter three in particular impressing greatly in the win over Birr.
