Carrick-on-Suir students’ Skype sessions make Canadian TV news

Skype sessions between the third class students of Carrick-on-Suir’s Presentation Primary School and their friends in St John’s Elementary School in Newfoundland was featured on TV news in the Canadian province.

Skype sessions between the third class students of Carrick-on-Suir’s Presentation Primary School and their friends in St John’s Elementary School in Newfoundland was featured on TV news in the Canadian province.

The Presentation students have also been connecting with their new friends in Newfoundland by writing letters.

Postmen on both sides of the atlantic have been busy delivering the letters in rain, hail and snow. Both classes celebrated St. Patrick’s Day together in a Skype session, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.

Meanwhile, congratulations to the Presentation School’s junior and senior infants, raised E400 for Down Syndrome Ireland by hosting a HB Ice Cream Day.

And the school’s musical show “Pres Factor” was staged for three nights to rave reviews . All the pupils from third to sixth class wowed the audiences with their wonderful performances in three shows: Snow White and the Seven Punks, Cinderella Rockerfella and My School Musical.
