All you need to know about the much anticipated upcoming Thomond Park concerts

Crowds will travel from Tipperary, Clare, Kerry and Limerick in particular to see some of the most popular musicians in the world

Thomond becomes a concert venue this July.

The concert season is in full swing and the road between Tipperary and Doon as well as between Newport and the Mackey Roundabout will be exremely over the coming weeks with Tipperary people flocking to Limerick to three high profile concerts at Thomond Park.

Snow Patrol, Paulo Nutini and Liam Gallagher are all playing on midweek nights so the roads will be highly busy all afternoon and evening. Ahead of the concert, the organisers have released the following information to ensure everything runs smoothly over the festive period.

Have a read of these if you are going along to the concerts: 

  • Due to health and safety, there are strictly no camping/collapsible chairs/stools permitted in the venue. Please do not bring these items as security will have to refuse you entry with them.
  • This event will take place rain, hail or shine. Please check the weather forecast and dress accordingly for Irish weather – think wellies, boots or runners, layers, raincoats/ ponchos and suncream but remember no umbrellas.
  • There are a number of entry points to the stadium. You must enter through whichever gate is detailed on your ticket.
  • Show your ticket at the ticket check outside the stadium grounds for inspection.
  • Strict security checks will be in operation. Everyone will be subject to a search permissible under law, per Purchase Policy. It is a condition to entry, to protect everyone’s safety. Additional searches may take place once inside the venue.
  • Patrons are especially advised not to bring large bags/backpacks as they may experience delays or be refused entry. There will be no storage facilities on-site. Any items left at entrances / in surrounding areas will be removed and disposed of accordingly.
  • BagslargerthanA4,glassorcans, umbrellas, alcohol, garden furniture, selfie sticks, flares, flags/ banners larger than A3, professional cameras and audio recording equipment will not be permitted. See the full list of prohibited items on Prohibited Items | MCD.ie.
  •  Obey the stewards and Gardaiì and instructions given over the public address for your own safety.
  • There are no re-admissions to the concert. If you leave, there is no re-entry.
  • Promoter reserves the right to refuse admission without refund to anyone who fails to comply with these T&Cs, as agreed by customer and per Ticketmaster Purchase Policy.
  •  Don’t rush to exits after the concerts.

TRANSPORT:

Plan and book your return travel arrangements in advance allowing2 hours travel time to and from the venue. As traffic and parking delays are inevitable you are strongly encouraged to walk, use public transport and private coach services. Promoters do not operate transport to/from the venue, this is a matter for customers to arrange in advance.

TFI - Thomond Park Concerts

  • BY TRAIN: Irish Rail provide great links to Limerick City (Colbert station) from all over the country. Train times and information can be found atwww.irishrail.ie.
  • BY BUS: From Bus Station and Train Station: Routes 302, 303 and 306 operated by Bus Eìireann.
  • BY CAR: There is limited concert car parking available. This MUST be booked in advance . To avoid disappointment we strongly advise that you book your car parking as soon as possible. You can book your concert car parking through Evntz app. Simply use the QR code below or go towww.evntz.ie to download Evntz App & get your car parking booked now. Do not park illegally – 24hr towing will be in operation.

TICKET INFO/ROUTES:

There will be two entrances to the concert site.

RED/GREEN (East Stand, Gold Circle, Pitch, Premium): Entrance off Knockalisheen Road

BLUE (West Stand): Entrance on Cratloe Road

Strict traffic cordons will be in place 2 hours before the event.

AGE RESTRICTIONS:

Under 16’s MUST be accompanied at all times by a Parent/Guardian over 25, who take full responsibility and remain with them throughout the event. Strict age monitoring in place. Unaccompanied under 16’s will be refused entry without refund. Recommended no under 5’s.

Standing tickets only available to

persons aged 14 and over. No under

16's will be allowed on the pitch

TICKET COLLECTIONS:

Ticketmaster box office will be located at the junction of Cratloe Road and Knockalisheen Road.

Please note, all forms close 7 days out from event date.

Accessible ticket holders do not need to contact us. They will be contacted directly regarding accessible parking / drop-off locations. All accessible parking must be arranged in advance.
