Elderly man and woman rushed to hospital after Bank Holiday car crash in Tipperary

A man and a woman were taken to hospital following a collision along the M8 in Tipperary on Bank Holiday Monday.

Gardaí and emergency services rushed to the scene of the single-vehicle collision involving a jeep on the M8 between Junction 11 and Junction 12 near Burncourt at around 1:45 pm.

The occupants of the jeep, a male driver and female passenger both aged in their 60s, were taken to Tipperary University Hospital for medical attention.

Gardaí have said that investigations into this collision are ongoing.
