Mary Street car park in Clonmel
It’s hoped that the broken barrier at the Mary Street car park in Clonmel town’s centre will be operating again in the next week or so.
District Engineer Nicola Keating told a meeting of Clonmel Borough District that the contractor who was appointed to repair it was waiting for a part for the barrier.
The barrier has been out of action for the past couple of months, meaning that parking has been free in the car park during that time.

Cllr Richie Molloy said it was very difficult for shoppers to get in there because cars were parked for the whole day.
