Visual Emotion-the photographic exhibition of the work of Clonmel photographer John D Kelly will now run until January 25 at the Tipperary Museum of Hidden History.
The exhibition showcases the extraordinary body of work of John D Kelly during his forty year career as a professional photographer.
The exhibition has drawn a lot of visitors over the last few months and new images will be added in the next few weeks.
Visitors are transported back in time to local events and familiar characters who were so much part of the fabric of the life of the town.
“We have been overwhelmed by the positive reaction to John’s exhibition since it opened earlier this year and we hope that this extension will give those of you who have not had the time to call into us yet another opportunity to admire his work.
If you have friends or family around Clonmel and Tipperary for the festive and New Year periods, make sure to send them down to us on Mick Delahunty Square for a trip down memory lane,” said Marie McMahon,Manager of the County Tipperary Museum service.
The staff at the museum would love to see people interact with the exhibition by providing names for the people in the pictures they might know and any special memory they might have of the many occasions and events displayed.
People can provide that information by visiting the website of the Tipperary Museum of Hidden History to explore Visual Emotion .
Each of the spectacular photographs has a comment function where viewers can privately write their memories of any given photo or can give names if they identify some of the faces.
