Tipp claims the lion’s share of the Garda fleet in the Tipperary/Clare division

New data from the Department of Transport highlights that 60% of the Garda vehicle fleet in the Clare/Tipperary Garda Division is allocated to Tipperary.

Out of a total fleet of 133 vehicles in the division, 80 are stationed in Tipperary, ensuring that the county has a substantial share of Garda resources.

This allocation contrasts with Clare, where only 53 vehicles are available.

The data underscores Tipperary's significant Garda fleet, supporting the county's policing efforts across both urban and rural areas.

While Clare’s Ennis Garda Station and Kilrush Garda Station are detailed as having 39 and 14 vehicles respectively, the remaining 80 vehicles serve Tipperary's numerous Garda stations.
