Ford Focus Saloon -Another StepForward for a Winning Brand

The new Ford Focus saloon matches an ultra slinky and cool profile with good old fashioned reliability to bring to market what will be another big seller for the Ford marque.

Having already checked out the new hatchback and giving it a right old going over, there was much anticipation when picking up the 1.6 litre diesel Focus ‘Edge’ saloon from Barlo Motors, Racecourse Road, Thurles this week.

This car starts at around 23,635 Euro and comes with air con, leather trimmed sterting wheel, stereo/radio/cd with 3.5” central display, body colour door handles and Ford eco-mode driver information system including trip/fuel computer. It also has an ‘Edge pack’ - 16” 5X3 spoke allow wheels with front fog lights and privacy glass.

Similarly with the new hatchback version, we were immediately struck by the differences between the old model and the latest incarnation. With a slightly lower profile; additional cockpit room; more advanced technology; better fuel consumption figures; enhanced safety features; and a far superior saloon version, it is easy to see why Ford are so confident about promoting the new Focus.
