The TCEC is currently run in collaboration with North Tipperary Enterprise Board, Thurles Chamber, LIT Tipperary, and North Tipperary County Council.

Official opening of the centre was in March 2012 to facilitate the growth and development of new and current business enterprises. The centre currently houses 13 different enterprises which employ over 40 members of staff. It gives businesses the opportunity to grow and expand through careful mentoring, provides suitable work settings along with facilities such as meeting rooms, hotdesks and seminar rooms which will enable them to carry out day to day tasks necessary for any business.

Chairman of the centre Seamus Hanafin has expressed his delight with the progress the centre has already made saying “We have set out to do what we have wanted and that is to create jobs in Thurles, not only has it become a focal point for business in the town but also for entrepreneurship.”

The collaboration with LIT Tipperary provides large benefits for TCEC,the college provides a number of development programmes, mentoring and expert advise from staff members such as John Kennedy.
