He didn't hit the heights of previous outings in scoring terms, but when the game was in the melting pot in the second half, he won some crucial frees that helped Tipp stem the tide when down to 14 players.
He should have squared a ball to John McGrath in the first half when in on goal, but that would be the only black mark against him.
