U14 C County Final
Gortnahoe Glengoole 0-05
St Patrick’s 0-04
St Patricks and Gortnahoe Glengoole played out a highly entertaining game between two evenly matched teams on Saturday afternoon in the U14 C County Final. St Pats began the game with the aid of the very strong wind in the first half, which proved to be a significant factor throughout the game for both teams.
Exchanges were fast and physical as both teams tried to impose themselves on the game. In a game where scores would be difficult to come by, mainly due to the swirling wind.
Both teams worked so hardthroughout the game but St Patrick’s couldn’t manage to find the all important equaliser late in the game, and it was Gortnahoe who were celebrating at the final whistle coming out on top by a single point 0-05 to 0-04. The cup was lifted by joint captains Aoife Gleeson and Mary Kate Ely to the tremendous applause of their supporters.
