Two Irish players in Kerry and Dublin scooped over half a million Euros each in last night's Euromillions draw.
It was a bumper night of big wins for players in Ireland in Friday night’s EuroMillions jackpot draw which was worth over €30 million.
There was no overall winner of the EuroMillions jackpot but one Online player in Dublin was one Lucky Star number short of the jackpot prize. They matched all five numbers and one Lucky Star to claim the second-tier prize worth €695,068.
The winning numbers for the main EuroMillions jackpot draw on Friday 15th December were: 02, 13, 37, 38, 48 and the Lucky Star numbers: 05, 09.
The National Lottery has confirmed that a notification to the user’s online account and a separate email has now been sent to the lucky Dublin ticketholder.
And the winning didn’t stop there for players in Ireland. The additional EuroMillions Plus draw produced another winner of the €500,000 top prize on offer. The winning player picked their own favourite numbers on a Normal Play ticket, and they purchased it at the Tesco store in the Square in the heart of Tralee town in Co. Kerry.
The winning numbers for the EuroMillions Plus draw were: 04, 06, 10, 12 and 20.
The National Lottery have called on players to check their tickets carefully and have asked the lucky winners to make contact as soon as possible to ensure that they are paid their prizes before Christmas.
A spokesperson for the National Lottery said: “There’s never a bad time to win a big lottery prize but there’s extra excitement in the Winners Room when we print these big cheques for players at this time of year. With less than two weeks before Christmas, we are asking these big winners to get in touch with our Prize Claims Team as soon as possible and we will ensure that the prizes are paid, and they can enjoy the holiday season in style. If you are one of the big winners, you can call us on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie.”
Meanwhile, tonight’s Lotto jackpot is also continuing to grow and is set to roll to an estimated €9 million. Players hoping to be in with a chance of becoming Ireland’s next Lotto jackpot winner are reminded that tickets can be purchased in-store, through the National Lottery app or at www.lottery.ie ahead of the cut-off time for ticket sales at 7.45pm this evening.
