Mystery surrounds the discovery of a brown envelope containing a large sum of money left on an empty bus seat which appeared on social media recently.
The find was filmed on DubsLife on social media.
The envelope is full of €50 and €100 notes.
The footage prompted many wisecrack comments from references to politicians and brown paper bags to another saying "thank God you found it, thought I left it there. On my way to collect it".
However, Dublin Bus did not wish to comment on the incident.
It is difficult to verify who operates the bus as many interiors of buses are quite similar.

A garda spokesperson also said they do not comment on unverifiable third-party material posted online.
