Recall notices will be displayed at point-of-sale
Two popular ready-meals that are sold in Dunnes Stores and Tesco have been recalled by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) due to undeclared milk being present, as well as a labelling error.
A specific batch of the PUREPOWER Nutrition Chicken and Chorizo Paella is one of the dishes at the centre of this recall. This is because the meal contains milk which is not declared on the ingredients list. This may make the implicated batches unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of milk. The affected batches are the 400g pack size with all use-by dates up to and including January 17, 2026.

Meanwhile, a second statement was also issued by the FSAI regarding the PUREPOWER Nutrition Chicken Chow Mein, which is being recalled as it was mispacked with the brand's chicken and chorizo paella. All labelling is incorrect on this product.
The implicated batches are the 400g pack size with the use-by date of January 15, 2026. According to the Food Safety Authority, recall notices will be displayed at point-of-sale.
As well as this, retailers are requested to remove the implicated batch from sale and consumers are advised not to consume the ready-meal.
