Famous face 'out for a spin' discovers what is surely Ireland's worst road
One of Ireland's most famous singers has shone a light on what must be the worst road in the country, not just his native Carlow, in a recent social media post.
Funnyman musician Richie Kavanagh had to get out of his vehicle while "out for a spin" recently to photograph the massive split that occurred in a road in the Myshall area of the county.
He said: "Out for a spin today and the roads are still in bad shape out our way, you would want more than a barrel of tar, an that's the truth."
The Aon Focal Eile singer's post prompted a huge reaction with one person saying, "that's like there was an earthquake."
Another said: "These aren't road. They are death traps and waiting for a fatality before they botch them. What happened to the good old days, oh yeah, greed."

While some joked, "Richie I'm sure you will write a song about them roads and that's the truth," "Not a road for the little Honda 50 so Richie, face her for mount Leinster."
The post comes days after around €11 million in roads funding was announced for Carlow. It also comes after Carlow-Kilkenny Fianna Fáil TD Peter ‘Chap’ Cleere said extra funding is need to fix potholes “so big you could lose a small child in them" across the two counties.
