A man in his 50s has been charged in connection with the disappearance and murder of Kerry farmer Michael Gaine.
The man was arrested on Tuesday in connection with this investigation and is set to appear before a sitting of Tralee District Court on Wednesday afternoon.

56-year-old Michael Gaine was reported missing from his home in Carraig East near Kenmare, county Kerry on Friday March 21, 2025. He was last seen on March 20, 2025.
In a statement, Gardaí said,
"A man, aged in his 50s, who was arrested as part of this investigation will appear before a sitting of Tralee District Court this afternoon, Wednesday 25th February 2026, charged in connection with this investigation."
