'A gentleman, a friend' - Tributes pour in following death of beloved father from Tipperary

David O'Meara passed away at his home on Monday

Tributes have been pouring following the sad passing of David O'Meara, from Coille Bheithe, Nenagh and late of Newport, Co. Tipperary.

David died at home, on Monday, March 11, 2024 and is predeceased by his beloved father Matty.

David will be sadly missed by his loving wife Mary and his cherished children & step-children, his mother Mary, sister Sinead, brothers Keiran and Matthew, aunts and uncles, mother in law Ellen and father in law James, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours, relatives and friends.

Condolences from those who knew and remembered David have been left on RIP.ie, with one mourner writing,

"Deepest condolonces to David's wife Mary and his children. His beloved mother Mary, brothers Kieran & Matthew, sister Sinead and the extended O'Meara family. Memories of David in his Grandparents house. Always friendly. May David rest in peace."

Another wrote, 

"My sincere condolences to Mary, family, O'Meara family and extended family. Many’s a good day and night we had. A talanted musician A gentleman Afriend always a cheeky grin on your face Many fond memories God Bless you You will be missed May you rest in peace"

While one simply wrote,

"I work with Dave always had great time for him sorry to hear he passed"

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing at Ryan's funeral home, Nenagh, this Thursday from 5pm with removal at 7pm to arrive at St. Mary's of the Rosary Church, Nenagh, at 7.30pm.

Requiem Mass on Friday at 11am. Livestream of this Mass can be viewed on nenaghparish.ie followed by burial in Rockvale Cemetery, Newport.
