Tipperary gardaí have seized a vehicle at a checkpoint following "closer inspection".

During a checkpoint seeking to detect intoxicated drivers in Nenagh, gardaí discovered this vehicle pictured above, which on first inspection had no tax, and on closer inspection gardaí noticed two excessively worn tyres.

The car was subsequently seized and tickets issued, gardaí added.
