NFL marketing rights in Ireland: Has there been a game held here before?
There was big news for Irish NFL fans this week as the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Jacksonville Jaguars were granted rights to market in the Republic of Ireland.
This means an NFL fixture could be played in Ireland in the next few years with the sports' Irish fanbase increasingly growing in recent times.
Croke Park seems the likely destination for a fixture to be played - the stadium where the last and only NFL clash was held in this country in 1997.
The Steelers and Chicago Bears faced off in a pre-season outing on that occasion.
Dublin's Aviva Stadium is due to host a sold-out college football game between Notre Dame and Navy on August 26.
