Well done to all the Clonmel Swimming Club members, past and present, who participated in the Gaelforce Great Fjord swim in Killary Harbour, Connemara last Saturday.

Weather conditions were very tough in this open water swimming event.

Nevertheless, the Clonmel swimmers had great results.

The 750 metres overall winner was Jenna Hayes. Erin Keane was third female and Anna Hickman was first junior female.

Killian Whelan was second in the two kilometres race, with Isabelle Hoare third female and Eibhlis Bartley first junior female.

David Killen had a top ten finish in the 3.9 kilometres race and Donal Quinn finished in the top 20 in the two kilometres event.

Huge congratulations are also extended to Julia Hayes and Lisa Bartley, the parents of club members, who both completed the 750 metres swim.

All involved enjoyed a great weekend.
