Loreto Clonmel's bid for All-Ireland glory ended at Emo, Co Laois this afternoon when they were beaten by Loreto Navan in the Lidl All-Ireland Post Primary Schools Senior A Football Championship semi-final.
The Munster champions put up a brave battle but were always chasing the game against the county Meath team.
Loreto Navan led at half-time by 2-3 to 0-4 and they extended their advantage on the scoreboard to seven points by the final whistle.
Despite the defeat, it has been another memorable campaign for the Loreto Clonmel footballers, as they did their school, county and province proud.
