MICHAEL HOGAN TOURNAMENT
Congrats to the Sologhead / Emly team that won out the Michael Hogan Football Tournament played on Saturday morning last in Kilcommon.
With victories against Thurles Gaels, Borrisokane, Clonakenny and Newport in the final it speaks volumes for under-age football in Sologhead, Emly and West Tipperary.
Well done boys and also to their mentors.
Sologhead players included John Ryan, Dylan Cagney, Rocco Rea, Conor Lewis, Jamie McMullan and Jack O’Sullivan.
THE WAITING IS OVER
The waiting is now over for Sologhead’s Junior Footballers and for Bainisteóir Eamonn Bargary along with John Murray and coach Dave Brennan the real business gets underway this Friday evening against Sean Tracy’s in Round 1 of the West Championship.
Always formidable opposition Sean Treacy’s will come well prepared for what could be a real battle and hopefully Sologhead will have those extra couple of vital points that will separate the sides at the finish. Throw in is fixed for 7.45pm in Sologhead.
Emly will provide the opposition in Round 2 on June 16 in Emly followed by a date with Arravale Rvs on June 30 in Sean Treacy Park.
