The twelve-week Swim for a Mile programme has returned and is preparing swimmers across the county for a one mile swimming challenge.

The programme is organised by Tipperary Sports Partnership and is running in three pools across Tipperary in Nenagh, Roscrea and Carrick-on-Suir.

The programme helps swimmers develop their ability to swim for longer and to swim more confidently, the challenge being the one mile swim later in the programme.

It's a wonderful way to become more confident in the water and get fit while doing it.
