North Tipperary's Ballymackey FC have been nominated for the FAI club of the year award

North Tipperary & District League outfit Ballymackey FC have been nominated for the FAI club of the year award - the award schemem works to recognise the extraordinary work carried out by clubs around Ireland.

The eight nominees for this year's award are:

Ashbourne United AFC (Meath)
Ballinasloe Town AFC (Galway)
Ballymackey FC (Tipperary)
Broadford Rovers (Dublin)
Broadford United AFC (Limerick)
Colga FC (Galway)
Greystones United AFC (Wicklow)
Gweedore Celtic (Donegal)

All eight clubs will receive a cheque to the value of €1,500 as reward for their nomination while they also progress to the final round during the 'FAI Festival of Football' in Cork this August.
