As the academic year draws to a close, Tipperary FET College Templemore is reflecting on another year of achievement, growth, and opportunity for its students and staff. From international travel experiences to academic excellence, 2024–2025 has been a standout year for the college community.

One of the most exciting highlights was the return of Erasmus+ mobility programmes, which offered students the invaluable chance to gain work experience abroad. This year, students travelled to Poland, Malta, and Malaga, immersing themselves in different cultures while building their confidence, communication skills, and professional experience. Feedback from both host organisations and participants has been overwhelmingly positive, with many students describing the trips as “life-changing” and “a major boost” to their future career plans.

In the classroom, students have continued to shine. This year’s academic results were outstanding, with high levels of achievement across all programmes. Many learners reached distinction-level performance, a testament to their dedication and the quality of teaching and support provided by the Templemore campus team.

Further confirmation of this success came in the form of excellent reports from External Authenticators (EAs). These independent assessors praised the college for its high standards, strong learner engagement, and robust assessment practices. Several EAs highlighted the innovative teaching approaches and the supportive learning environment that makes Templemore stand out.

Campus Principal Micheal Lenihan praised both staff and students for their efforts:
“This year has truly showcased what our college in Templemore is all about — providing learners with top-quality education, real-world experience, and opportunities to grow. The success of our Erasmus trips and the feedback from our EAs show that we are preparing our students not just for exams, but for life.”

As the summer break begins, the Templemore campus is already looking ahead to another exciting year, with new courses, fresh opportunities, and the continued commitment to excellence that has become its hallmark.
