St Joseph's National School - We had a very busy week here in St. Joseph’s PS working on the Lions Club project. The 3rd & 4th class task was to add a splash of colour to our wonderful and most cherished town park. It was no surprise that they jumped at the challenge! With the help of Ms. N Ryan and Sinéad Stone they helped design and create this wonderful piece of art centred around the idea of dreams and wings. The girls were eager to add as much colour as possible to brighten the walkway and so the idea of vibrant feathers was the overall winner! They then had the task of creating a caption for our wings and so it went to a vote. We had some wonderful captions put forward but unfortunately there could only be one winner and that was Ella Breen with “Let your Dreams Be Your Wings”. Congratulations to both 3rd and 4th class on a magnificent piece of art that we hope will not only brighten the town but also brighten the day of those who pass.
