Rosanna Davison is married to Wes Quirke, Richard Quirke's son.

In a social media post, she said:

"Rest in peace, Papa.

It’s been a sad week as we say goodbye to @wesquirke’s dad, Richard. He’ll be sadly missed by his family, friends and grandchildren It’s been a strange time trying to navigate grief with young children, while also keeping life as normal as possible for them.

"They understand that everyone has gathered together to celebrate his life, but as they’re still so little, we decided it would be best for them to stay home with me today and watch the funeral online instead.

"Ms Davison went on to thank everyone for their messages of support.

"Thank you for all of the kind and thoughtful messages this week for Wes and the family, they’ve been a big support at a difficult time and much appreciated

"Give your loved ones an extra hug today, life is so precious and fragile.
