Hailing from San Francisco, Dublin, Boston, London, and Tipperary, Child of Prague sit somewhere between the influences of Irish traditional and midwest emo.
Composed of six multi-instrumentalists, the band’s flirtation with elements of folk pop, math rock, Irish trad and jazz has been pulling in live audiences across Ireland in venues like Vicar Street, Workman’s Main Room, and the Workman’s Cellar.
“We match Irish traditional elements with the bright and erratic guitar tone of a Midwest Emo band. We have a fusion of instruments with sax and violin tying in Folk and Jazz elements. We aren't afraid of a Folk-Pop sound, but we equally aren't afraid to play with dissonance and heavier themes.”
