In Cabragh Wetlands Centre, Thurles, on Tuesday, November 25, at 7:30pm, John G O'Dwyer will give an illustrated talk titled, 'In High and Fragile Places.'
John G O’Dwyer has been for much of his life a hiker, rock-climber and writer for the Irish Times about hillwalking and outdoor pursuits.

As part of this talk, he will recount his own experience of mountain climbing and hillwalking, and how exploring green spaces was transformative for his personal wellbeing.
He will also focus on how upland environments are threatened by climate change, increasing footfall, human intervention and habitat loss before questioning how we should sustain our upland areas in the future.

Admission is free, but donations to support the work of the Cabragh Wetlands project will be most welcome.
The talk will be followed by tea/coffee and tasty bites.
