Musical Society production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame set for a Tipperary stage

Come one, come all, to Premier Hall Thurles, from 24th to 28th March 2026 at 8pm for a Thurles Musical Society production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

TMS are set to wow audiences with their much anticipated production of the Victor Hugo classic story. With memorable songs from the Disney film, you will be taken on a journey through medieval Paris, from the grandeur and reverence of Notre Dame to the dangerously exciting bohemian sub-culture.

We are delighted to welcome on board our Director & Choreographer Michael Anthony Greene, and ever grateful to welcome back our Musical Director Mary Rose McNally.

The full cast of over 70 have been rehearsing religiously since November to bring this production to the stage. From our latin choir, to our gypsy chorus, saintly gargoyles, and revered congregants, this is a feast for the senses!

Possibly one of their most ambitious projects yet, the stage construction crew under the management of Anthony Kirby have done amazing work bringing Paris to life in the Premier Hall.

On this their 75th year, it is also a time to celebrate the opening of TMS’ very first show, The Yeoman of the Guard, on 11th March 1951. The late Olive Kennedy holds the honour of being the very first cast member to grace the stage for TMS all those years ago. And they have welcomed many more since!
