Vocativ Choir Weingarten and Thurles Community Choir will team-up for a performance early in the month, ahead of Ray Bubbles’ act on June 20

The Source Arts Centre has announced a unique evening of international musical collaboration.

This special concert brings together Germany’s Vocativ Choir Weingarten and the local Thurles Community Choir for a powerful performance bridging nations through a shared passion for song.

Marking a stellar highlight in The Source Arts Centre's vibrant summer programme, this cross-cultural event celebrates artistic friendship and unity.

Audiences can expect an emotionally charged, diverse repertoire featuring world-famous hits rearranged for a massive, combined choral sound.

The concert program includes beloved contemporary classics such as Fields of Gold by Sting, You Raise Me Up, Heroes by David Bowie, Eternal Flame by The Bangles, and Don’t Stop Me Now by Queen.

The local Thurles Community Choir, directed by the highly regarded choirmaster Eamon O'Malley, returns to the main stage following highly successful seasonal performances that captured the community's heart.

Joining forces with them is the visiting Vocativ Choir Weingarten from Germany, making their highly anticipated debut at the venue.

The evening promises a rich, immersive exploration of harmony, not only in music but also in international values and friendship.

The event takes place on Friday, June 5 and 8pm, with tickets costing €15.

At the end of the month, the Source is bringing the most mind-boggling, high-energy family event of the summer to Thurles.

On Saturday, June 20, international "Bubbleologist" and Guinness World Record holder Ray Bubbles will take the stage for Ray Bubbles: The Ultimate Bubble Show.

With two spectacular performances at 1pm and 3pm, this fast-paced, interactive extravaganza promises a whirlwind of science, magic, and pure bubble madness.

Ray Bubbles uses top-secret gases to sculpt soapy masterpieces that defy gravity.

Kids and parents alike will watch in amazement as Ray battles anti-bubble obstacles to complete the ultimate challenge: creating a perfectly square bubble.

This wildly popular show is heavily interactive and packed with audience participation, crazy stunts, and a splash of awesome science.

It was specifically inspired by Ray’s extensive work with SEND schools and neurodivergent groups across Europe, meaning the entire performance is sensory-friendly and perfectly suitable for children and adults with additional needs.

Tickets for the show cost €12.
