It is wonderful to see a colourful new shop recently opened on Main Street, Tipperary Town.

Titled 'Wonder Creations', you couldn't but be impressed by the window displays, which capture the essence of what the shop is about.

I called in to meet the owners of the shop, who are husband and wife team, Mudassar Bashir and Anna Mularczyk.

Mudassar told me that they were living in Tipperary for 15 years and had been involved in another business prior to this one.

"I was running a food business in the town for 15 years and my wife was doing some decorative and party items.

"Prior to working in the food business, I had experience of working as a graphic designer in Charleville, Co. Cork, and before that back in my home country, I worked for a printing company.

"I retired from the food business just last year, and we were thinking that we should do something different, so myself and my wife came up with this idea together.

"So what we are providing is all kinds of printing for party events as well as photos from your phone, photocopying etc. Also we do sublimation printing, which is a digital printing process that uses heat, pressure, and time to transfer dye onto different materials.

"This allows printing onto t-shirts, caps, cups, and we have a large printer to print any size of photo or canvas.

"We can do signs for the shops or shop fronts, or for any celebration to include balloons and flyers, and we also do the pop up banners for clubs, organisations and businesses.

"So basically this is a one stop shop for printing," said Mudassar.

They were working on the premises for up to three months as the place was closed for 10 years, so a lot of work needed to be done to get it ready for use once again.

I asked Mudassar as to what the reaction was like from the community since it opened.

"So far it has been really positive. They are coming in to congratulate us on the opening and I have been getting a very positive reaction on social media.

"I am going to focus on sublimation printing, decorative and photo printing, large format signs, window and retail graphic. We will take any job, large or small, and while it is challenging to start up a business, I have past experience in design and printing.

"My wife Anna, recently completed a course in design and she is really creative and likes to do art and craft design also.

"It was her dream and I have passion for it also," concluded Mudassar.

On my own behalf and on behalf of the entire community, I would like to wish Mudassar and Anna, the very best of luck with their new shop in Tipp town, and we hope that it's a great success for them.
