Tipperary Town will celebrate Halloween night with a fireworks display and a haunted trail walk along the Ara Walkway.
The focal point for the town's Samhain Festival tomorrow Friday, October 31 will be the Abbey Street Car Park.
Young and old are invited to come in fancy dress to the festivities. There will be face painting and mask making and thrilling amusement rides and a kids disco. Music entertainment will be provided by DJ Richie.
The amusement rides will be available from 5.30pm while the kids disco, face painting, arts and crafts activities will start at 6.30pm.
Prizes will be awarded for the best dressed adults and children.
The Haunted Trail walk along the Ara Walkway will be another highlight of the Samhain Festival.
The Ara Walkway will be the spookiest place in Tipperary Town on Halloween night and the walk along it will start at 7.30pm and end with the best view of the fireworks in the town.
It's free to walk on the Haunted Trail but you must have a ticket in advance. Tickets can be booked via the website: https://www.tipperarytown.ie/
It's recommended that Haunted Trail participants bring a torch with them as lighting will be limited. All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult for the walk.
The fireworks display over the town will kick off at 8pm.
This event is being organised by Tipperary Town Business Alliance, Tipperary County Council and Tipperary Town Revitalisation.
The organisers thank the Abbey School for use of their grounds in facilitating the fireworks display.
"This is a multi agency event and we would like to acknowledge An Garda Siochana Tipperary Town, Tipperary Town Fire brigade, Tipperary Town Festival, Creative Places Tipperary town, Youth Work Tipperary, The Three Drives Resource Centre, Tipperary ETB and Cllr Ann Marie Ryan," they said.
