Parade organisers are asking locals to come forward this week to help steward the St Patrick's Day Parade in Tipperary Town.

St Patrick's Day Parade organisers for town in Tipperary appeal for volunteer stewards

Organisers of the St Patrick's Day Parade taking place in Tipperary Town next week are asking for volunteers interested in being stewards on the day to come forward and let the organisers know this week.

In a social media post yesterday, organisers said: "Our Final Planning Meeting takes place this Thursday night in Roches Pub at 7.30pm.

"All are very welcome to attend.

"If anyone is interested in helping as a Steward for one hour on the day please let us know this week."

The parade will take place on Tuesday at 2.30pm and there will be prizes for Best Float, Greenest Person and Best Window Display on the day.
