Storm Isha has brought with it its own havoc, but it isn't stopping, as more warnings have been issued by Met Eireann.

A status yellow wind warning for Clare, Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo has been issued by Met Éireann, the very latest in weather warnings to hit the country.

Met Éireann reports that “very strong and gusty westerly winds” will hit those counties, with the potential impacts being:

* Large coastal waves with wave overtopping

* Difficult travelling conditions

* Debris, loose objects displaced

The warning is valid from 2:30am, this Monday January 22 until 7pm the same evening.

After enduring wild conditions from Storm Isha on Sunday with Status Red and Orange weather warnings in place for most counties, Ireland looks set to remain in the grips of wet and windy weather.

Forecasters at Met Éireann say "today [Monday] will remain breezy and blustery with some very strong gusts in the west and northwest.

In their outlook for the week, they say our weather will be "changeable with some further spells of wet and breezy or windy weather."

Looking to the weekend, Met Éireann predicts that it will remain "unsettled with further spells of rain and breezy conditions at times."
